On January 16th, the Council of Chiefs convened at C.W. Post Memorial Scout Camp, the site of our 2010 Conclave, to tour the site and plan their areas for Conclave. After listening to their ideas, I am confident that this will be a great conclave experience. To assist our member lodges in their promotional efforts, the promotions team worked over the COC weekend to produce web banners, posters, and articles to be used on websites, in newsletters, and in emails. We are using an online registration system this year for conclave available at sr23n.oaevent.com, please register soon to take advantage of the $25 early registration option.
There are great opportunities for leadership training over the next few months. The top leadership course offered by the Order of the Arrow, the National Leadership Seminar will be offered October 1-3 at Sid Richardson Scout Ranch. This leadership course is a weekend long, fast paced course that will improve your current abilities as a leader as well as allow you to develop new leadership tools. I look forward to seeing everyone who has not previously attended an NLS at this event.
